ABU-EMP, a B2B lending company, wanted to improve its credit scoring process. The company partnered with Senti AI to integrate a Document AI solution that would speed up the processing for documents needed during the client review.
ABU-EMP wanted to streamline its client review process by implementing a credit scoring system as part of its goal to provide financial solutions to Filipino entrepreneurs. The system required two documents — client investigation report and ocular inspection report— which are produced during the client review to assess credit worthiness. These documents are about 2-7 pages and 3-15 pages, respectively.
The company had to manually process 860 client investigation report documents and 467 ocular inspection report documents. To add to the challenge, the ABU-EMP changed form formats in 2022. Now the company needed to convert all documents from 2017 to 2022 into the current structure format.
ABU-EMP worked with Senti AI to integrate a Document AI solution in processing these client reports.
Once the client investigation report and ocular inspection report documents have been converted to PDF documents, these are fed into the Document AI form parser.
The Document AI solution allows ABU-EMP to extract data from files, tables and texts from the documents. The extracted data is then stored as a JSON- formatted file, making it easier to process client data.
The conversion of the forms from 2017 to 2022 to the current format will now allow ABU-EMP to make better use of their data through setting up an analytics dashboard or building ML models.
The use of the Document AI solution also sped up the implementation of the credit scoring system as they no longer had to manually process documents gathered from the client review.
